Chef Carino and Paloma Cortez are third-generation foodies who grew up in the restaurant business.
Chef Cariño Cortez pursued a culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in kitchens in NYC, Chicago and Texas. Landing back in her hometown, she loves to spend her free time with her children and family, entertaining, and passing along culinary traditions.
Paloma Cortez is a designer and creative director who has worked in Chicago for almost 10 years until moving back to her hometown of San Antonio, where she co-founded a creative studio called Wide Awake. She loves spending time with her husband Matt, daughter Emilia and pup Lucia.
Christopher Vela is designer and illustrator born in San Antonio but now living in Houston, TX. He has had the pleasure of working with some talented people and enjoys helping clients and studios create something unique and special for their projects. When he’s not behind a computer pushing pixels, he’s enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two kids.
